Wedding Photography FAQ
How do you photograph weddings?
I love getting to know you before your wedding day and I do that by offering a complimentary engagement session where we not only get some amazing photos of you and your significant other but we get to know more about each other that way on the wedding day you are comfortable with me. I will want to make sure I capture all the feeling and emotion of your unique wedding day. I will also communicate with you before your wedding to make sure I get all the important shots that will make you happy as that is my number one priority.
Where are you based and do you travel?
I am based in Halifax, Nova Scotia and yes I love to travel and would love to travel to capture your story. A travel fee may apply depending on where it takes place.
When will we get our photos?
Your will receive an online gallery link with all your photos within 8 - 12 weeks (sometimes less depending on the season.) You can download all the photos from the gallery and also you can order prints!
How far in advance should we book our wedding photographer?
Most couples book their wedding photographer 12–18 months in advance, especially for popular summer and fall wedding dates in Nova Scotia.
Do you offer both wedding photography and videography?
Yes, many wedding photographers, including Atlantic Memories Photography, offer both photography and cinematic wedding videography packages to capture every special moment of your day.
How many wedding photos will we receive?
The number of edited wedding photos varies depending on the package and length of coverage, but most couples receive several hundred professionally edited images.
Do you travel for weddings?
Yes, we do often travel throughout Nova Scotia and Atlantic Canada for weddings, including beach weddings, destination weddings, and elopements.
What happens if it rains on our wedding day?
Experienced wedding photographers are fully prepared for changing weather conditions and can adapt quickly using indoor locations, covered spaces, and creative lighting techniques.
Do you help with wedding day timelines?
Yes, photographers often assist couples with creating a photography timeline to ensure enough time for getting ready photos, family portraits, couple sessions, and sunset photos.
Can we request specific wedding photo styles or poses?
Absolutely. Couples are encouraged to share inspiration, Pinterest boards, and preferred photography styles to help personalize the experience.
Do you offer engagement sessions?
Many wedding photography packages include engagement sessions, which help couples become more comfortable in front of the camera before the wedding day.
